Triple Jumping sensation Dylan Johnson has added 20cm to his already formidable Open & Under 20 Triple Jump records in finishing 5th behind training partner Alwyn Jones at the Adelaide Track Classic on 20 February 2016. However, the record breaking effort has come at a cost, with a foot injury forcing Dylan to pass on his final 3 attempts.
The new record stands at 15.20m.
Subject to his foot recovering in time, Dylan is hoping to compete at the Victorian Championships this coming weekend, and failing this will compete at the AV Knockout Final, possibly the Brisbane Track Classic and then the National Championships in Sydney.
Also on show in Adelaide was Alex Rowe and Peter Bol in the 800m. Alex finished 4th in 1:48.39 with Peter finishing 8th in 1:49.19, taking 0.33sec from his 8th All-time fastest performance for SKAAC.
